The list of good things I want my kids to see me doing could go on forever. If I were to sum up all the things I hope they see it would simply be Jesus. I want my daughter and son to see Jesus in my everyday living. Here are a few things I like to intentionally get caught doing.
One. I want my kids to catch me reading the Bible, singing and talking to God. Overall, I want my kids to see how much I love God and value time with Him.
Two. I want my kids to catch me hugging, complimenting, apologizing and supporting mom. Overall, I want them to see how much I love mom.
Three. I want my kids to catch me loving their sibling. Overall, I want them to see how much I love their brother and sister in hopes that they will love them the same way.
Four. I want my kids to catch me loving our community and beyond. Overall, I want them to see how much I love the world with no prejudice.
When I love the way God wants me to it won’t be hard to get caught. If I love God and people the way Jesus did (still does) then I would have taught my children the most important lesson in life (Matthew 22:35-40). If my kids catch me doing these things, at least I am guilty for loving people.
