Current Youth Sunday School Focus

Dear Parents,

One of my favorite times of the week is Sunday school. I love Sunday school because that gives me 75 minutes to be with your teenagers, hear what’s going on in their lives and pour Jesus into them. In 75 minutes I can encourage them to follow Christ and equip them to go and change the world like Christ did.

I’m really excited about our current focus on discipleship. One of the last things Jesus said before he left earth to His disciples was, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).

Jesus gave his life to this teaching. He took a group of rag tag men and women, turned them into disciples (followers) who are committed to God and reaching the world. Imagine that, your teenager sold out for God and living for others (living for and thinking of others is a huge need these days!).

I want to help turn your teenager into a disciple of Jesus who also goes and lives out this command to make disciples for Christ. When this class is over your teenager will know what a disciple is and what a disciple does. Overall, your teenager will be closer to Jesus if… they take advantage of this time, own it and apply it to their lives.

I would love to include you in the process so my goal is feed you emails with content that will also help you follow Jesus and make disciples in your home, workplace, neighborhoods and community. (Send me an email to save yours.  Email me at

Thank you for investing 75 minutes into your teenager’s life. God can do a lot for your teenager’s present life and future life with one minute; imagine what he can do with 75!

(Sunday school meets each week at Calvary Assembly of God from 9:30-10:45am in the Education Center.  This Sunday school focus is for High School students only).

God Bless!
